Cultivated in
Northern Europe and the
Mediterranean Region for centuries, these roses are noted
for their strong "musky" fragrance. They
have long, arching canes and flowers in
colors of white or pink. In the early
summer, they bear single or double flowers
and bloom just once per year. They resemble
giant flowered
floribundas.
Typical cultivars include
'Penelope' and 'Pink Prosperity'.
