A medium size sport of H. 'Pathfinder', this is a non-registered cultivar
from Naylor Creek Nursery of Washington. The foliage has thick substance, is
twisted and dark green with a narrow white medial (center)
variegation. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July.
It
is named after a type of wine from Australia.
An article in
The
Hosta Journal (2011 Vol. 42 No. 2) states that this
cultivar was named after a brand of Australian red wine. An article
on "Look Alikes" in
The
Hosta Journal (2007 Vol. 38 No.1) listed H. 'Woop
Woop', H. 'Stitch in Time'
and H. 'Mango Tango' as
cultivars that are difficult to distinguish from each other.
