One of the
divisions we make on landscape plants is to
delineate between woody and non-woody i.e.
herbaceous plants. Then, you can take the
woodies and divide them into trees, shrubs
and vines.
In this
section, we will deal with shrubs which we
define as woody plants generally less than
10-15 feet tall and often having multiple
trunks or canes coming out of the soil. Of
course, there are always a few exceptions to
these rules but most of what we call shrubs
would fit into them.
