Paul Aden of New York registered this cultivar in 1986
as a hybrid of H. 'Aden
No. 421' × H. 'Little Aurora'. The small size (10 inches high) mound has moderately corrugated and somewhat cupped
foliage. In late June to mid-July, it produces pale lavender
flowers.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...is familiar to almost every hosta
enthusiast. It ranks as one of the best small-size cultivars
with gold-centered foliage."
