Registered by Hans Hansen of Walters Gardens,
Inc. of Michigan in
2018,
this cultivar is a seedling of [((H. 'Medusa' x
H. venusta) x H. 'Blue Moon') x
H. pycnophylla] ×
H. 'Neptune'. This intensely blue-green hosta is
a medium size plant that grows to about 16 inches in
height with a spread of around 36 inches. The leaves are
lanceolate, moderately folded, deeply wavy and have a glaucous bloom on top and bottom. Pale lavender flowers
bloom on scapes 12 to 16 inches tall from late July into
August followed by viable seeds.
The registration materials state: "...Wonderful compact
blue with thick, wavy blue leaves and proportional
upright flower scapes and lavender flowers...appears
pale lavender from exterior, interior shows lavender
mid-rib with white margins..." Several sources stated
that this is a good companion for H. 'Wheee!'.
