were crossed to create this cultivar which was

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Grow in
a pot until the root system is well established before planting
out. Best suited to a rock garden or small container with small,
round-leaved hostas for contrast...The leaves are strongly
undulate to twisted which causes the base of the blade to fold
in the enter; the leaves become flatter and wider as the plant
matures. Variegated leafy
bracts are clasped to the scapes."
In
Greek mythology, Medusa was a gorgon with snakes growing from her skull.
