Arthur Wrede registered this cultivar in 2005. It is listed as a hybrid between an unnamed seedling x H. 'Riptide' which grows about a foot tall and 2 feet wide. The narrowly ovate leaves which have purplish petioles are slightly wavy and come to a thin point. It blooms from mid-July into August.
