Inc. of Michigan in 1998 as a
tissue culture sport of H. 'Grand Tiara', this plant forms a
medium size (14 inches high by 36 inches wide) mound of foliage.
The leaves have a margin that changes from
yellow to creamy white as the season progresses. They are
folded to cupped, oval and have narrow petioles. It has medium
purple flowers from mid-July into August.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Much tougher than its delicate coloring
suggests...Leaf brightens by early summer and the margin turns ivory. Has
reverse variegation of H. 'Crystal Tiara'.
