A sport of H. 'Gene Summers', this
cultivar was originally credited to
Paul Aden of New York.
Recently, it has been determined that the actual originator is unknown and this
hosta was registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 2010. It forms a medium size plant about
13 inches high with a spread of around 25 inches with green foliage that has a
yellow medial (center) variegation which changes to creamy white later in the
summer. The leaves are lightly wavy, slightly corrugated, ovate and dull on top.
Pale lavender flowers bloom from June into July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...was sold as 'Gene Summers'..."
