Hosta 'Emerald Tiara'
 

A member of the Tiara Group, this plant  was registered in 1988 by Walters Gardens, Inc. of Michigan. It is a medium size (17 inches high by 34 inches wide) plant with medium green, light gold centered, slightly wavy leaves. Bell-shaped pale purple flowers are displayed on a 28 inch scape from mid-July to August followed by viable seeds.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Leaf colors become more muted as the season progresses. More vigorous than its parent and easy to grow. A good foreground plant and also suitable for containers."

The cultivar is a sport of H. 'Golden Scepter' which was a sport of H. 'Golden Tiara'.
