This unruly, large size (30 inches high by 35 inches wide), blue-green plant was registered by Dr. Kevin Vaughn of Massachusetts in 1988 as a hybrid of H. 'Blue Boy' × H. 'Polly Bishop'. It bears near-white to pale lavender flowers from late June into July followed by viable seeds.
 

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...has the look of a Sieboldiana with a slightly better growth rate. It is certainly worth considering as a background plant or very large ground cover".

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Much faster growing than most blue-leaved hostas...Flower buds are level with the top of the foliage. Large bracts cluster round the raceme. Leaf color remains an unusually rich, dark blue-green if grown in full shade all day."
