This upright growing hybrid of H. 'Komodo Dragon' × H.
'Super Bowl' was registered by Dr. Doug and Mardy Beilstein of Ohio in 2009.
It is a large size hosta about 20 inches tall by 48
inches wide with yellow colored foliage. The leaves are
broadly ovate, slightly folded, moderately corrugated and
dull on top. Tubular flowers bloom from June into July
on scapes 30 to 32 inches tall. According to the registration materials: "...golden yellow leaf
with waving ruffles and moderate rugosity,
upright posture, with a slightly folded leaf
projecting from the clump..."
The originator made the following comment on the
Fraternal Order
of Seedy Fellows website: "A beautiful gold leaf
with waving ruffles and moderate rugosity. The leaf
while slightly folded comes right out of the ground and
stands tall. A great plant when gold is needed in the
garden. Mardy named this hosta for her sorority.
Currently in TC."
