Up to 300 feet tall in the wild but usually around 60
feet in the landscape.
Bluish green needles 1/8 to 1/2 inch long. Awl shaped
and triangular. Needles persist for 3 to 4 years.
Spongy in texture
and reddish brown.
Cones about 1.5 to
3 inches long by 1.25 to 2 inches wide. They are
reddish brown in color and stand upright the
first year but are pendulous the second year on
the tree.
