Flowers are borne on an 8 inch tall interrupted spike, corolla, violet blue or white flowers, bracts small, green, early deciduous, calyx densely white to purplish tomentose.
Midsummer to frost
Leaves opposite to whorled, minutely pubescent, leaves ovate-lanceolate to ovate, 1˝-3 inches long, acute at apex, coarsely and irregularly serrate, uppermost leaves linear lanceolate, square stems.
 
Strong grower in extreme heat
  • 'Argent' - Flowers are silvery-white.
  • 'Blue Bedder' - 24 inches, compact, blue flowers.
  • 'Catima' - 24 inches, dark blue flowers, uniform, bushy habit.
  • 'Regal Purple' - 24 inches, deep violet-blue flowers.
  • 'Rhea' - Violet-blue flowers on compact stems. 12-14 inches tall and it is shorter than 'Victoria'.
  • 'Silvery White' - Silver-white flowers, 18-20 inches tall. It can be used in combination with 'Victoria'.
  • 'Victoria' - 18 inches, dwarf, uniform with basal branching. 14 inches spread, intense violet-blue flowers.
