Shrubs are generally considered to be woody plants that emerge
from the soil with multiple trunks or canes and usually grow no
more than 20 feet in height. Of course, there are a lot of
plants that are a judgment call as to whether they are a large
shrub or a small tree. So, it is not always clear cut.
