This plant is the result of a cross of H. 'Chartreuse Wedge' with a hybrid of H. nigrescens
x H. 'Blue Vision'. It was registered by
Paul Aden of New York in
1978. It is a giant size plant about 30 inches tall by 51 inches
wide with arching foliage. The leaves are blue-green, broadly ovate and have a
distinct tip. Near white flowers bloom in July followed by viable seeds.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Not suitable for container growing...The inner
leaves are rounder, the outer leaves noticeably longer. Leaves arch downward
from oblique petioles."
