Hosta 'Tea and Crumpets'

Originated by Wm and Eleanor Lachman of Massachusetts in 1996 and registered on their behalf by Registrar, Kevin Walek in 2009, this cultivar is s a cross of "Lachman Seedling 81-9-2" × H. 'Crepe Suzette'. It is a small size hosta about 8 inches high by 20 inches wide with medium green foliage that has a creamy yellow to white marginal variegation. The nearly round leaves are moderately corrugated and slightly rippled. Pale purple flowers bloom in July but seed viability was unknown at the time of registration.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), the margins change from yellow to creamy white as the season progresses.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Suitable for the front of the border or in a container...Leaves are usually spoon-shaped."
