In
1999, Mark Zilis of Illinois registered this
tissue culture sport of H. 'Summer Music'. This medium to large size hosta grows to about 19 to
22 inches in height and a width of 45 to 50 inches. Its leaves
are very broadly ovate, wavy, slightly corrugated and a bit
unruly with good substance. The pale lavender flowers bloom in
July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...one of the best sports
developed at my nursery over the last twenty-five years...margin
remains an attractive gold color throughout the growing season."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Moderately rapid growth rate...The leaves emerge
green, the variegation appears slowly."
