Hosta 'Singin the Blues'

The plant pictured above was mislabeled 'Singing the Blues' like the pop song.

Dr. Doug Beilstein of Ohio registered this seedling of H. 'Trail's End' in 2007. It forms a large, semi-upright mound with foliage that is cupped and has good substance. The pale lavender flowers bloom from late June into July.

The originator made the following comment on the Fraternal Order of Seedy Fellows website: "We broke ground with this one. We finally have a big blue with ruffles, with corrugation and a beautiful lavender flower. A very tight mound. Mardy said it just sang to her! Available 2008."
