A second generation
Tardiana-type seedling, this cultivar was registered in 1988 by the
British Hosta and
Hemerocallis Society (BHHS) on behalf of the originator,
Eric Smith. It grows into
a medium size hosta about 13 inches in
height with a spread of 30 inches with slightly corrugated
foliage with thick substance. The medium lavender flowers bloom
very late in June into July.
According to a Google search, Sherborne is a market town in
northwest Dorset, in Southwest England.
