Hosta 'Sea Gulf Stream'

This tissue culture sport of 'Sea Gold Star' was originated by Mark Zilis of Illinois and registered by Alex Malloy of New York in 1999. It grows to about 26 inches high by 58  inches wide and has thick substance. The leaves are deeply lobed at the base, are moderately corrugated and have margins that are irregularly rippled. Its near white flowers bloom from late June.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Lovely with blue-leaved H. 'Rock and Roll' to echo the midrib and veins which are noticeably blue early in the season."
