This non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'Rhinestone
Cowboy' is from
Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan and
Jim Schwarz of
Jim's Hostas of Iowa (now owned by
Uniquely
Hostas of Wisconsin) . The
foliage is chartreuse colored with creamy white and
yellow streaked variegation. It grows into a medium
size (17 inches high) mound with heavily corrugated,
unruly, slightly rippled foliage with thick substance.
In July, it produces very pale lavender flowers.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...should be the same as 'Urban Cowboy'."
