Hosta 'Marbled Cream'

Oops! Sure looks as if this hosta is labeled as H. 'Marbled Cream'. Unfortunately, the actual 'Marbled Cream' is a streaked plant that may stabilize to one with white centers. We will try to get a true picture next summer. - Mr PGC

Clarence Owens of Michigan registered this open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Yellow Splash' in 1985. The medium size hosta forms a 16 inch high and 50 inch wide clump with ovate shaped, smooth textured foliage. It has pale lavender, funnel shaped flowers in July followed by viable seeds.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Moderate growth rate. Forms an attractive garden specimen and breeds good variegated offspring...The streaks and stripes can run the entire length of the leaf blade."
