Registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois and T&Z Nursery in 1988, this is a sport of H. 'Masquerade'. This small size (11 inches high) plant is good for the front of groupings or in rock gardens. It has an abundance of purple flowers from late June into July.
 

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...becomes a very dense mound of white-margined foliage with an attractive show of purple flowers in July. It has good sun tolerance as well."

The Book of Little Hostas (2010) says: "...does well in a woodland walk and in a large raised bed."
