Hosta 'Lakeside Love Affaire'

Note that this was registered with an "e" at the end of Affaire.

This upright growing hosta was registered in 1997 by Mary Chastain of Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee. It is a hybrid of two unnamed seedlings which grows into a medium size hosta around 17 inches high and 41 inches wide. The leaves are ovate shaped, slightly wavy with smooth texture. It bears funnel shaped, lavender flowers in July followed by viable seeds.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Unusually large for a medio-variegated hosta...Great sculptural qualities as well as striking tricolor effect on the leaves."

Although this plant was labeled without an "e" on the end of the name, the registered name is, in fact, 'Lakeside Love Affaire'.
