Originated in 1999 by Tony Avent of Plant Delights Nursery in North Carolina, this non-registered cultivar is hybrid with a background that includes H. longipes, H. yingeri, H. 'Sieboldiana', H. 'Harvest Dandy', H. 'Swoosh', H. 'Green Fountain' and H. 'Hrao Splendor'. It is a small size hosta about 8 inches high by 27 inches wide with green foliage that has a wide golden-yellow marginal variegation. The petioles and flower scapes both have dark purple coloration. Flowers bloom in August on scapes about 24 inches tall.

There is also a cultivar named H. 'Kim Sue'.
