A seedling of the species, H. longipes, this cultivar was introduced by Alex Summers of Delaware and registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1997. A medium size (16 inches high) plant, it has oblong, slightly wavy leaves with thick substance. Pale purple flowers with dark purple scapes bloom in September. This cultivar is part of the "Harvest Series" of hostas.
