A cross of H. 'Flamboyant' × H. 'High Fat Cream', this cultivar was registered by
Paul Aden of New York in
1978. It grows about 20 inches high with a spread of around 40
inches. The foliage color ranges from streaked to having a cream
white center with a green margin. Leaves are moderately
corrugated. Lavender flowers bloom in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "It is rare to find a mature specimen of 'Intrigue' let
alone one with fully streaked foliage. Paul Aden used this as
part of his breeding program, often as the pollen parent."
