Hosta 'Heart's Content'

This cultivar is hybrid of H. 'Breeder's Choice' Ă— H. 'Polly Bishop' from Dr. Kevin Vaughn of Massachusetts which was registered on his behalf by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. It forms a large size mound of heart shaped foliage that is slightly wavy, slightly corrugated and of better than average substance. Long, pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August. It sets viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "When introduced for sale, 'Heart's Content' sold for $150. It makes an excellent landscape plant and, owing to the many seed pods that develop, can be useful in a breeding program."
