Hosta 'Fall Emerald'

This cultivar with H. 'Fortunei Gigantea' in its background was originated by Alex Summers of Delaware and was registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1997. It is a large size plant which grows to about 23 inches in height with a spread of 60 inches. The dark green foliage is moderately corrugated, slightly wavy with thin bloom on the underside. Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-June into July.

"Plant is a large early flowering hybrid with leaves that are larger than those of H. 'Sieboldiana', deep green, and long lasting during the fall season. Flowers early on tall scapes."
