Hosta 'Eye Catcher'

This cultivar is of unidentified parentage and was registered by Randy Goodwin of Indiana in 1996. The medium size mound is 13 inches high and 28 inches wide with cupped, unruly, heavily corrugated leaves. It bears bright purple flowers in July.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Resembles a golden yellow-leaved H. 'Tokudama' but is much smaller, and the margins remain a slightly deeper gold but there are hints of green in the depths of the seersuckering."
