A cross of H. 'Dorothy
Benedict' ×
H. hypoleuca, this cultivar was
registered by
Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 1999. The foliage is slightly rippled, slightly cupped and
heart shaped. It forms a large size (21 inches high by 26 inches
wide) mound with near white flowers
in July to early August.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Moderate growth rate...The wider ivory-white
margin is in striking contrast to the spinach green base color
which the feathering enhances. The raceme is very attractive and
enhanced by the pale anthers."
