Hosta 'Aristocrat'

This small size (9 inches high) hosta was discovered by Clarence (C.H.) Falstad, III and registered by Walters Gardens, Inc. of Michigan in 1997 and is a tissue culture sport of H. 'Hadspen Blue'. It has a blue-green center with white marginal variegation. The plant has a slow growth rate in most gardens. Pale lavender flowers are borne from late July into August.

'Aristocrat' was granted U.S. Plant Patent 11,286 in 2000. According to the application, "The center starts out about a Green 141 B and becomes more blue to a 122 A or bluer."
