Hosta 'Algonquin'
This cultivar is part of Van Wade's American Indian Series of hostas. It is a hybrid of H. 'Blue Steel' × H. 'Blue Seer' which was registered with The American Hosta Society in 2007. An H. 'Sieboldiana'-type, it forms a large size mound of blue-green foliage, has thick substance and white flowers in late June.
The Algonquin Indians lived in Eastern Canada and the Northeast area of the United States in what is now New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
