Rod Lysne of Northern Grown Perennials in Wisconsin
in
2022,
this cultivar is a seedling of H.
‘Piedmont Gold’
× "Lysne Tompkins Seedling". It is a small size hosta
about 8 inches high by 28 inches wide with very pale
cream greenish colored foliage. The lanceolate leaves
are relatively flat and slightly shiny on top and
bottom. Medium lavender flowers bloom in July on scapes
14 to 16 inches tall followed by viable seeds.
The registration
materials state: "Early expression of pale cream slowly
turns smooth chartreuse. Bloom scapes usually sport
vestigial leaves...gradually changes to medium
chartreuse throughout the season."
