This cultivar is part of the "Warwick Series" of hosta cultivars developed by
Dr. Lloyd (Gil) Jones of Michigan and it was registered in 1993. It is a hybrid of H. 'William Lachman' × H. nakaiana which grows
into a medium size hosta about 16
inches high with a spread of 30 inches. The ovate shaped foliage
is slightly wavy and of average substance. Pale purple flowers
bloom in July followed by viable seeds.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...similar appearance to 'Warwick
Curtsey', except for its slightly larger leaves and whiter
margins."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Vigorous. A superb foreground or container plant."
