This cultivar is hybrid of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' ×
H. nakaiana was originated by
Dr. Lloyd (Gil) Jones of Michigan
and was registered on his behalf by
Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. It is a medium size
plant about 15 inches in height with a spread of 37 inches of green foliage with
a golden yellow colored marginal variegation. The leaves are lightly corrugated,
ovate and has a glaucous bloom on the bottom. Its flowers bloom in July.

Grenfell (2009) states: "Increases rapidly. Use as a foreground specimen.
Also very effective in a large container."
