Originated by
Ran Lydell of
Cooks Nursery and Eagle Bay Gardens in New York, this non-registered
cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a small size
hosta about 8 inches high by 18 inches wide with lanceolate, rippled green foliage that has a narrow,
white marginal variegation. 'Traveler' is fast growing
and the leaves are somewhat unruly.
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "This quickly spreading hosta will do well bordering
a bed or pathway in light to dappled shade."
