this upright, small to medium size (11 inches high by 20
inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Tokyo
Smog' ×
H. 'Maya Kingsnake'.
It has greenish-yellow,
ovate foliage that is relatively flat and slightly shiny
on top. The petioles have red dots at the base but are
more sparse toward the top. Pale lavender flowers with
purple inner stripes bloom from late July into August on scapes 18 to 24 inches tall followed by viable seeds. The
registration materials state: "...Combines the leaf
form of 'Tokyo
Smog' with the red stems of 'Maya Kingsnake' in a new yellow-green color." |
