This H. longipes selection from Japan was introduced by Gino Vandekinderen and Danny Van Eechaute from Belgium. It forms a small to medium size clump with leaves that are slightly wavy on the edges. The petioles and flower scapes are red and the purple flowers are borne in the fall.
