A seedling of H. 'Shining Tot',
this cultivar was registered by
Greg Johnson of Iowa in 2004. The plant
grows into a medium size hosta about one foot tall and spreads to around 28 inches
wide with lance shaped, wavy leaves. Lavender flowers bloom in
late summer. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...appears to be a smaller
version of 'Blue Arrow'. It has a rapid growth rate and is
notable for its good blue color and very wavy blade."
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "This distinctive plant is ideal for the raised bed
and woodland garden, where it will multiply
rapidly."
