A non-registered cultivar from
Greg Johnson of Iowa, it originated as a seedling of H. 'Little
Wonder'. It forms a small size (7 inches high by 15 inches
wide) mound of light green foliage that
has a white marginal variegation. The plant has red petioles, purple-red
flower scapes and bears purple flowers in July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...improves on 'Little Wonder' by its rich red petioles
and purplish scapes."
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "This very colorful cultivar needs to be in a raised
position to properly appreciate the petioles and red flower scapes."
