this medium size (15 inches high by 35 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of
(H. ‘Liberty Bell’ × (H. ‘Urajiro Hachijo’ ×
H. pycnophylla)) ×
H. 'Sparking Burgundy'.
The leaves are medium
blue-green with a creamy yellow marginal variegation.
They are broadly ovate, slightly twisted, slightly
folded, slightly wavy, glaucous on top and have a
downward curl at the tips. Medium lavender flowers bloom
from August into September on scapes 24 to 29 inches
tall. It sets seeds but their viability was unknown at
the time of registration. The
registration materials state: "...Medium sized
flared mound of blue green leaves with creamy yellow
rippled margins...margins emerge yellow fading to pale
creamy yellow." |
