This non-registered sport of H. 'Fire
and Ice' from
Marco Fransen of the
Netherlands.
The small size plant has dark green leaves with white
medial (center) variegation. It has funnel shaped
lavender flowers on 30 inch scapes from late July into
August.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...improves significantly on 'Fire and Ice' by its much
wider green margins. That alone should make it a better
grower than its mother plant."
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "Early morning sun will produce a steady growth rate
without burning."
