Registered by
Gerhard & Renate Ragus of Germany in 2015, this
fast growing, upright cultivar
is of unidentified parentage. This medium size (16 inches
high by 24 inches wide) hosta has grayish blue foliage.
Its leaves are ovate, wavy, slightly rippled and dull on
top. Tubular flowers bloom from June into July on scapes
up to 29 inches tall followed by viable seeds. According to the registration materials: "...moderately wavy leaves on red-mottled
petioles, relatively thick leaves...from light green with fine brownish border
and midrib to gray..."
There
was also a cultivar named H. 'Number
9' but that has been changed to H. 'Watusi'.
