Originated by Green Mountain Hosta of Vermont, this upright growing, non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'Francis Williams'. It is a large size hosta about 24 inches high and 36 inches wide with golden yellow leaves that do not show spring desiccation damage. It bears large clusters of near white flowers on 28 inch high scapes from mid-June into July. 

Before its name was changed, this cultivar was called H. 'Number 9'.
