This hybrid of H. 'Christmas Tree Gala' × H. 'Elatior' was registered by
Olga Petryszyn of Indiana in 2001. The mound grows into a large size hosta about 21 inches in height by 70 inches in width.
It has slightly wavy, slightly corrugated leaves. Pale lavender
flowers bloom in July followed by viable seeds.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "A superb background hosta. Grow with H. 'Daybreak' to light up a dark corner. The leaves retain a blue overlay in low
light...Subtle tonal variegation which is lacking in the leaf of its sibling H. 'All That Jazz'."
