Introduced by
Dr. Ralph (Herb) Benedict of Michigan as a seedling selection but not registered, this cultivar forms a miniature size
(3 inches high by 7 inches wide) mound of slightly wavy, elliptic-shaped foliage.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "H. 'Little Stirfry' = H. 'Little Stiffy'."
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "Although smaller than many otherwise similar yellow
minis, it has better substance. Will do well in a small container or tray, and
the color contrasts nicely with the dark wood of a tree stump."
