A hybrid of H. 'Estrellita' × H. 'Tardiflora', this cultivar was registered by
Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina in
2004. It forms an upright, 12 inch high mound of dense, slightly
rippled, lanceolate foliage that has
slightly red petioles. The medium lavender flowers bloom in
August. It has a fast growth rate.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Sends out multiple sets of leaves throughout the
summer, thus creating a multi-toned yellow, chartreuse, and green leaf mound."
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "Emerges early in the spring and will take some sun,
eventually forming a lovely loose mound."
