This cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Lakeside Knickknack' which was registered by
Mary Chastain of
Lakeside Acres Nursery in Tennessee in 2003. It forms a miniature size (5 inches high by 16 inches wide) mound of yellow
to chartreuse foliage with a very narrow creamy white marginal variegation. The
leaves are slightly
rippled and narrowly ovate. In August, it forms purple flowers.
The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack
(2010) says: "Will do well in almost any situation, but because it
lacks substance and is therefore vulnerable to slugs and snails, this cultivar
fares better planted in a container."
